The brief from Youth Development Unit was to develop an external communal area for clients to gather as they drop in through-out the day. The area was an underutilised 1980’s design with brick walls and garden beds in an outstand of the footpath.
Reusing the existing infrastructure, a vibrant and attractive area for young clientele was developed that was also sympathetic to the adjacent historic post office building.
Due to a lack of funds, free materials were sourced from the Geelong Council Depot.
